Sandoval's Lending LIbrary

The Pelican building has a lending library that residents can use to borrow books, magazines, and puzzles for as long as they’d like. Books are primarily adult and young adult fiction, but there are small sections for biographies, children’s books, and large print books. The books are sorted alphabetically by the author’s last name, and hardcover fiction and paperback fiction are on separate shelves. This room also has comfortable seating and a television.

Residents may donate gently used fiction books, biographies, puzzles, and magazines. Books must have a copyright date of 2005 or later, and magazines must not be more than a month old. Books that do not qualify for donation can be given to
Friends of the Cape Coral Library or Hope Hospice’s resale store Hope Chest.

This area is also used as the meeting space for a resident-run Sandoval Book Club. It meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m., and books are suggested by the members. Feel free to contact Jo Flanagan for the current reading list or more information about what’s at the Pelican building library at [email protected].
